Who are the scheme advisers?
The trustees appoint specialist advisers to help ensure the scheme is run professionally, efficiently and in line with the rules of the scheme and current legislation.
Administrators – DMGT PensionsWe are based in London and are responsible for the day-to-day running of the pension schemes.
We are responsible for most of the pension schemes run by DMGT. Our customer base is made up of members who are still working for DMGT, those who have left the company and those who have retired, in all, these total over 20,000!
We specialise in a number of areas including administration, investment, communications – and we have our own IT staff.
Actuaries - Hewitt
Hewitt provide actuarial advice and support to the pension schemes. By law the trustees must appoint an individual actuary. The actuary to the main pension schemes is Richard Whitelam.
Every year Richard and his team carry out a financial health check to make sure that it is properly funded.
An actuary works out the amount of money that needs to be paid into a pension scheme in order to make sure there will be enough to pay your pension when you retire. Our actuaries also occasionally perform the most complex calculations required for some members.
Lawyers - Linklaters
Linklaters provide legal advice and support on all aspects of pensions law. The partner responsible for your scheme is Claire Petheram.
Accountants - PricewaterhouseCoopersPriceWaterhouseCoopers carry out a yearly audit of the pension schemes.
An audit is an independent examination of the scheme's records and financial statements.
