Retiring late

If, with your employerÿs agreement, you continue to work beyond normal retirement age, you can stay in the scheme. You will continue to pay contributions and you will continue to build up pension benefits in the normal way, provided your pensionable service is not more than 40 years.

Please note that you must take your pension before reaching age 75, even if you carry on working. You will not be able to earn any additional pension once you reach age 75 and your contributions will automatically stop.
